Fergus Curling Club hosts ‘Jacob’s Bonspiel’ for young curlers

FERGUS – “Jacob’s Bonspiel” was held at the Fergus Curling Club on March 5.

The bonspiel was created by a former Little Rock curler to show young people how a bonspiel is run and to encourage them to take part in bonspiels and have fun.

The championship team included skip Paige Gleva, vice Addison Plumstead, 2nd Quinn Bingley and lead Liam Downes.

Coach Lynda Waterhouse said she would like to thank the Laitar Family, M&M Meats, the ice making team, curlers who supervised on the ice, and the parents and grandparents “who come out every week to cheer [the little curlers] on.”
