EWCS hosts fundraising golf tournament at Guelph Lakes on July 10

The East Wellington Community Services (EWCS) team have a busy summer ahead.

Golf tournament

Spaces are still available for EWCS’s 10th  annual golf tournament on July 10 at Guelph Lakes Golf Course.

The event is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the local community services charity.

People can register as a  golfer or as a sponsor online through at www.ew-cs.com or visit one of our offices for a registration form.

The tournament cost is $135 each, which includes 18 holes of golf, a shared cart, barbecue lunch, steak dinner, prizes, awards and silent auction items.

Kids to Camp

EWCS once again has Kids to Camp funding. Anyone who might not otherwise be able to afford to send their kids to camp is encouraged to apply.

The organization will help pay to send local kids to quality day camps this summer, such as Erin Hoops Camps, Erin Tennis Camp, and others.

Application forms are now available in EWCS offices and through www.ew-cs.com. Applicants must include a camp’s registration form with their application.

For more information, contact Caroline at 519-833-9696. Individuals, church groups, and other organizations who want to further contribute to this great cause can drop their donations to the Erin office labeled Kids to Camp Fund.

 Summer volunteers

EWCS is looking for summer volunteers, to fill in vacation Sports for regular volunteers.

Help is needed to cover shifts in EWCS thrift stores. There are tasks appropriate for student volunteers and even some projects that would be perfect for a group looking to volunteer together. Contact 519-833-9696 for more information.
