East Wellington Community Services celebrated 25 years of service for the community of East Wellington with a breakfast at Rockwood United Church on June 20.

Despite the rainy morning, a cheerful celebration saw a number of community members come out and help to kick off a year-long celebration.

Wellington-Halton Hills MPP Ted Arnott presented a 25th anniversary commemorative award  to president David Robart-Morgan, and executive director Glenyis Betts.

The 25th celebrations will continue with a community breakfast in Erin on June 27 at Centre 2000 in the EWCS senior room between 8:30 and 10:30am. A fall Community- Pay-It-Forward event will take place in Erin and the Township of Guelph-Eramosa, with details to be announced.

A wrap-up event will happen in spring of 2010.
