Event raised $5,000 to send ringette team to Halifax

Audiences and participants alike were under the spell of hypnotist Jeff West, during the April 5 fundraiser event for the U-14AA Elora Fergus Ringette team, held at the Elora Legion.

The event raised $5,000 for the team, with all proceeds going to support the team’s  trip to compete in Bedford, Nova Scotia in the Eastern Canadian Championships, April 11 to 14.

The team will compete against teams from Nova Scotia, PEI, Quebec and New Brunswick.

This comes at the end of a successful season with the team finishing in the top three in the province, and placing in the top four in all four tournaments in the season.
