Vandals have struck here again, raising the ire of town council and staff.

“This is going to represent a significant cost to the town,” Roads Superintendent Larry Van Wyck said of repairing the damage vandals have done to town signs and the solar lights at 109 Main Street park.

Van Wyck said at least a dozen signs in the town have been vandalized with paint, including at least one Town of Erin sign. Mayor Rod Finnie said, dryly, he is “not very happy” with that vandalism, as well as damage done to the five lights at the the new Erin park.

Anyone who knows anything about the crimes should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
