Climate change is becoming a pressing environmental issue.

People are already seeing some of its effects and it will shape the future.

The Arboretum workshop on the environment is for those interested in learning more about the phenomenon.  The first part will consist of a presentation on the basics of climate change.

The second half will consist of a group discussion (with equal participation from the leader and participants) about the social implications of climate change as well as what an individual can do about it.  Participants should be prepared to participate.

Some advance workshop readings will be given. Guest instructor Ivan Lee will lead the forum on Oct. 15 from 11am to 4pm.

The fee is $65 plus tax.  To register call The Arboretum at 824-4120 extension 52358.  The registration deadline is Oct. 7.
