Best-of-seven series resumes March 27 in Elora

ELORA – The Elora Rocks senior AA men’s hockey team is battling head-to-head with the Seaforth Centenaires in the Ontario Elite Hockey League (OEHL) South Conference championship.

To get to the south finals, Elora defeated the Petrolia Squires 4-1 in the best-of-seven series.

The Rocks kicked off the south final series by winning 4-1 in Seaforth on March 21 and are set to play game two at the Jefferson Elora Community Centre on March 27 at 8:30pm.

Game three will follow in Seaforth on March 29 at 3:30pm. 

The winner of the south conference will play the winner of the north conference  – either the Minto 81’s or Ripley Wolves – for The J.F. Paxton Cup. 

OEHL awards

The OEHL recently named  its annual award winners.

The awards were announced on March 18, with Elora Rocks player Alex Uttley receiving the Top Scorer Award for the south conference, with 39 points (10 goals and 29 assists).
