Elora break-ins

Police are investigating a number of recent break-ins across the county, including two in Elora within two days.

On Aug. 20, Wellington County OPP received a report of break-in at an apartment on Metcalfe Street. Police say suspects forced open the front door sometime between Aug. 19 at 5pm and Aug. 20 at 9:30am and stole loose change and a Sony PlayStation 3.

On Aug. 21 the OPP received a break-in report at a home on Irvine Street in Elora. Police say suspect(s) entered the home sometime between Aug. 19 at 10:45am and Aug. 21 at 12:30pm and stole money, a Dell laptop computer, three cartons of cigarettes, a black leather office chair, a 40-inch Sony TV and a 40-ounce bottle of Gibson’s Finest Whiskey.
