Electric vehicle donated to Puslinch Fire Department for training

Free car – Volvo has donated a pre-production electric vehicle to the Puslinch Fire Department to use for training. Here Chief Brad Bigrigg takes the keys from volunteer firefighter Brad Dickerson, who also works at Volvo and helped arrange the donation.

The vehicle was used by Volvo to train its mechanics on the new electric vehicle technology and now the vehicle will serve the same function for firefighters.

“We’ll use it for auto extracation training and learn more about electrification,” Dickerson said. “We attend many collisions and electric vehicles are the future. With this, we’ll be ready for it.”
