Dungeons and Dragons buffs gather at local libraries

Your quest begins when you walk in the library door! Did you know that Arthur, Harriston and Mount Forest are a few of the branches in Wellington County Library that run Dungeons and Dragons Clubs?

Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) is a collaborative role-playing game where players embody a character and interact with a story while being guided by a Dungeon Master (DM). Using dice rolls and wit, battles are fought, riddles answered and treasure gained! Beyond being an excellent outlet for creativity, socialization and problem solving, D&D is incredibly fun.

We currently have groups running at different times and for a variety of age groups. Your DM will take care of the details, all you need to do is register. Bring an idea for a character, and we’ll help you with the rest! Not sure where to start? Drop in and have a chat with our DMs. New and experienced players are welcome.

Currently there are ongoing campaigns willing to take on new adventurers for kids, teens and adults, but availability for each program depends on your branch, so please contact them to see if their party has space.

A brand-new program for adults is beginning Thursday, June 15 at 5:30pm at the Mount Forest Branch if you want to be a founding member of a campaign. To find out more about these and other programs offered at your library, visit www.wellington.ca/LibraryCalendar  and see a sample of programming below.
