Driver succumbs to injuries from Sept. 7 crash

MINTO – The driver involved in a serious single-vehicle crash here last week has died.

Emergency crews responded to the crash, on Wellington Road 123 near Palmerston, on Sept. 7 at about 6:15am.

A Wellington County OPP press release issued that day stated a red minivan struck a tree and the lone occupant sustained serious injuries.

Emergency services responded and the driver was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.

On Sept. 12 police announced the driver, a 40-year-old from Guelph, succumbed to their injuries.

The OPP did not provide the name of the deceased river.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed this collision to call 1-888-310-1122.
