Driver faces marijuana charge

GUELPH – On March 23 at about 7:45pm, Wellington County OPP investigated the driver of a vehicle on Silver Creek Parkway near Dawson Road here for an alleged driving infraction. Police say that while speaking with the driver, the officer detected an odour of suspected fresh marijuana.

John Timonthy Johnson, 62, of Guelph, was charged with possession of dried marijuana over 30g in a public place. He is to attend Guelph court on May 19.
