Driver airlifted to trauma centre following single-vehicle crash

GUELPH ERAMOSA – One person was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a single-vehicle crash here early on Friday.

Wellington County OPP officials say emergency crews responded to the scene, on Wellington Road 124 east of Wellington Road 29, on Jan. 19 at about 2:45am.

An emergency page sent to firefighters at 2:24am indicated the call was for a "vehicle fire."

"Initial reports indicated that a pickup truck had left the roadway, and the lone occupant was seriously injured," police stated in a press release.

"The driver was airlifted to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries."

The cause of the collision is still under investigation. Anyone with information can call 1-888-310-1122.
