Doors Open draws in the crowds

It appears when Centre Wellington opens its doors, people come in to take a look.

At a recent committee of the whole session on June 23, Centre Wellington Mayor Joanne Ross-Zuj said, “there were many, many people visiting our community to attend Doors Open.”

She said when she looked downtown, “it seemed like everyone had that map in their face. It was really exciting to see.”

She added she was informed that attendance was three times that of the previous year. “It’s great that we’re getting a lot of interest in our Doors Open.”

She added the weather was also perfect for the Fergus Horticultural Society Garden Tour.

“Once again, all kinds of people came to tour our community and the gardens were just in beautiful condition. It was a splendid display.”
