Legion, pipe band hosting annual Robbie Burns supper on Jan. 27

FERGUS – The Fergus Pipe Band and Fergus Legion are bringing it on again this year.

Robbie Burns Day will be celebrated on Jan. 27 at the Fergus Legion.

“Experience a taste of Scottish culture as we honour the Bard of Ayrshire with traditional music, poetry recitations and a sumptuous feast,” organizers state.

“Raise a glass and toast to the memory of Robbie Burns, known for his stirring verses and passionate patriotism.”

Cocktails are at 5:30pm, followed by dinner and a night of “Scottish revelry,” officials say.

From kilts and tartan to jeans and dresses, celebrate the life and works of Scotland’s beloved poet, Robert Burns, in a lively and spirited gathering, organizers say.

Attendees are encouraged to try some haggis, sing a song, have a dance and share stories and laughter. Tickets are $55 plus tax and fees if ordered through Eventbrite.

Tickets can also be purchased at the Fergus Scottish Corner Shop at 181 St. Andrews St. West and the Fergus Legion at 400 Blair St.
