Puslinch Fire and Rescue Service is reaching out to the public with a home fire safety campaign.
As part of the annual campaign, department staff will visit local residences from Sept. 1 to Oct. 30 to create awareness around smoke alarms in homes and home escape planning.
Firefighters will educate residents on the importance of having at least one working smoke alarm on every level and outside sleeping areas of homes.
They will also offer to conduct an inspection of smoke alarms to ensure they are in working condition and in the proper locations.
