Dancers from the Blue Bonnet Lassies School of Highland dance compete at Trivia-Cities Competition

Lassies – Dancers from the Blue Bonnet Lassies School of Highland dance competed at the Western Ontario Highland Dancers’ Association Tri-Cities Competition in Guelph on April 2. With four new dancers joining the competition, the morning dancers had some great success. In the Primary 4 and 5 years, Brianna Earle placed first in Pad de Basque, and Fling, and second in Pas de Basque and High cuts. In the Beginner 7 years, Harlyn Heathers placed sixth in Fling and Lilt. In the Beginner 8 years, Scarlett Jackson placed sixth in Seann Truihabs. In the Beginner 9 years, Hadley Heathers placed sixth in Strathspey and Highland Reel. In the Beginner 10 years, Maribelle McBroom placed fourth in Lilt and Strathspey, and sixth in Fling and Seann Truihabs. In the Beginner 11 and under 13 years, Brooke Bailey placed third in Lilt and Strathspey, fifth in Seann Truihabs, and sixth in Fling. In the Novice 11 and under 14 years, Gabby Jackson placed sixth in Lilt and Strathspey. Bailey and McBroom also placed fourth in their double sword. The afternoon dancers also managed to achieve as well. In the Intermediate category, Ainsley Stewart placed fifth in Fling. Lastly, in the Premier 20 years and older, Emma Horsley placed fifth in Village Maid, Fling, and Sword.
