Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) is inviting rural landowners to a free environmental workshop on March 19 from 6:30 to 9pm at the Inglewood Community Centre, 15855 McLaughlin Rd., Inglewood.

The workshop will highlight ways landowners can protect the quality of their land and water, and how their actions impact the health of their families, communities and environment.

Landowners will work through Your Guide to Caring for the Credit, a handbook that provides tools and resources on how to best manage their properties. CVC’s staff will discuss topics such asforests, wetlands, septic systems, water wells and native species landscaping.

Participants will receive custom aerial photos and maps of their property, the handbook and a homeowner stewardship kit. Registration is required by March 11.

Landowners should own one acre or more of rural property and reside in the Credit River watershed. Those interested are asked to call 1-800-668-5557 ext. 436 or email amorrone@creditvalleyca.ca.
