Crash, mess close highway
PUSLINCH – A portion of Highway 6 in Morriston was closed for a few hours last Tuesday after a collision left a large mess on the road.
Emergency crews responded to a five-vehicle collision on the highway on June 16 at about 7:30am.
Wellington OPP officials say the crash involved two transport trucks and three other vehicles.
“One individual was transported to local hospital with minor injuries,” police stated in a press release, adding, “the collision caused a load of dry concrete to spill onto the roadway.
Highway 6 in Morriston, from Badenoch Street to Leslie Road West, was closed in both directions for a several hours. A 27-year-old from Georgetown was charged with careless driving and is to appear in Guelph court at a later date.
