COVID-19 outbreak declared at Louise Marshall Hospital
There is currently no inpatient visiting permitted at the hospital.
A July 9 press release from the Wellington Health Care Alliance states the hospital is working with Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health to respond to the outbreak, including patient COVID-19 testing and ongoing monitoring of staff.
The exact variant of COVID-19 is not known at this time, hospital officials state.LMH’s emergency department, diagnostic imaging, ambulatory care (including oncology), day surgery (not requiring hospital admission) services remain open. Patients are advised to call ahead to confirm appointments as plans could change.
