County gives bursaries to 10 young people
Ten county high school students will be receiving educational bursaries and scholarships from the County of Wellington, based on academic achievement or athletic skill and achievement and financial need.
At the county council meeting Sept. 29, council awarded the following local students with $500 bursaries and scholarships to use toward their post secondary school expenses:
- Sarah Hennekens, Centre Wellington District High School (CWDHS);
- Istvan Kery, Wellington Heights Secondary School;
- Alaina Macdonald, Norwell District Secondary School;
- Connor Peebles, Norwell;
- Melanie Pfaeffli, Norwell;
- Cameron Seth, CWDHS;
- Jackie Shaw, Norwell;
- Jean Paul Soucy, CWDHS;
- Sara Terpstra, CWDHS; and
- Lindsay Thackeray, Norwell.
Any county student currently enrolled in post secondary education within Canada, is eligible to apply for a County of Wellington bursary or scholarship. Applications are available at www.wellington.ca.
