County extends free brush drop-off
Until April 30, Wellington County residents can drop off ice storm-related brush material free of charge, from 8am to 4pm at the following waste facilities:
- Aberfoyle, 6922 Concession 4, Puslinch Township, on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday;
- Belwood, 8585 Wellington Road 19, Centre Wellington Township, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday;
- Harriston, 5668 Highway 23, Town of Minto, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday; and
- Riverstown, 7254 Sideroad 5 West, Wellington North Township, Tuesday-Saturday.
Restrictions include:
- limbs can be no more than 10 inches in diameter; and
- no stumps or large trunks will be accepted.
Solid Waste Services is asking residents to cut limbs/branches into a manageable size for transportation and ease of loading/unloading. Secure loads when transporting the ice storm brush material to one of our waste facilities.
Consider cutting limbs and using or giving away as firewood.
