Council paid $92,447 in 2008
Councillors here were paid a combined $92,447 last year.
As expected, Mayor Rod Finnie topped the list with $22,544 in remuneration and $3,376 in expenses, for a total of $25,920.
The mayor is always the highest paid position on council.
Councillor John Brennan was next, with $13,969 in remuneration, $3,756 in expenses, and $17,725 in total.
Councillor Barb Tocher was paid $13,739 in salary, $3,481 in expenses, and $17,220 in total.
Councillor Ken Chapman received $13,164 in salary, $2,930 in expenses, and $16,094 in total.
And councillor Josie Wintersinger was paid $13,679 in salary, $1,806 in expenses, and $15,485 in total.
There is also pay to the three members of the town’s committee of adjustment, a statutory body.
It totalled $2,882, while pay to the town’s two livestock evaluators and fence viewers totalled $1,530.
