Correction: Minto vacancy rates down

It was incorrectly stated in an article on page 12 of the Nov. 30 issue of the Wellington Advertiser (“Downtown revitalization efforts paying off in Minto”) that building vacancy rates in downtown areas in the town of Minto have increased slightly since 2009.

In fact, vacancies in all three Minto downtown areas have decreased.

The downtown vacancy rate in Clifford dropped from about 16 per cent in 2009 to 11.5% in 2012. In Harriston, the rate dropped from 18 to 12.8%. In Palmerston, the rate dropped from 18 to 17.5%.

The Advertiser regrets the error.
