Conference on poverty set for church on Aug. 16

The province’s social assistance system is getting an overhaul, and people from Guelph and Wellington County are being asked for their feedback.

The Guelph and Wellington Task Force for Poverty Elimination and five other community agencies are hosting a “community conversation” about social assistance on Aug. 16 from 1 to 4pm at St. George’s Church at 99 Woolwich Street, Guelph.

People are asked to register for the Aug. 16 event at gwpoverty.ca or 519-821-0571.
