Company, man charged

A numbered company and a Brampton driver have now been charged in connection with an incident here last month in which a tractor trailer spilled a load of gravel into a ditch.

On Nov. 29  at about 11:30am emergency crews responded to the call at the corner of  Wellington Roads 22 and 23.

Police say the truck was travelling northeast on Wellington Road 22 and was attempting to turn right onto Wellington Road 23 when it rolled over.

“No other vehicles were involved and the driver sustained minor injuries,” police stated in a Dec. 20 press release.

The numbered company “1734299 Ontario Inc.” was charged with operating an unsafe commercial vehicle, failing to ensure periodic inspection and maintenance, and failing to ensure daily inspections are conducted properly.

Bhalinder Singh Sidhu, 27, of Brampton, was charged with careless driving, driving a commercial vehicle with a major defect and failing to enter a defect in a daily inspection report.
