Cocaine and careless driving

MAPLETON –  Two Centre Wellington residents are facing cocaine charges following a single-vehicle crash here recently.

Wellington County OPP officials say emergency crews responded to a call about a vehicle in a ditch on the 12th Line of Mapleton Township on Sept. 3 at about 7:45am.

Donovan Watt, 41, of Fergus, and Christine Therese Cushing, 43, of Elora, were both charged with possession of Schedule I (cocaine). Watt was also charged with careless driving and driving while suspended.

Both are to appear in Guelph court at a later date.
