Clifford UCW leaders retain posts
President Lynne Nancekivell welcomed Rev. Jennifer Mountain and several ladies to the Clifford Pastoral Charge United Church Women (UCW) annual general meeting on Jan. 10 at Knox United Church in Clifford.
Lynne Nancekivell invited all to read in unison the “Purpose of the UCW.”
The ladies agreed to host a Valentine Luncheon on Feb. 14, Bruce Presbyterial on May 5, and Hamilton Conference Bruce Presbytery on April 24, 2015.
Treasurer Brenda Cummings discussed the financial report of 2013 and the budget for 2014.
Marion Derbecker read the 23rd Psalm from the revised international version. Lynne Nancekivell read a story about “Cash in the Bank” when inflation was a household word and many necessities were unaffordable.
Rev. Jennifer Mountain reaffirmed the roles of the executive who will hold the same positions as last year.
The executive continued the meeting to discuss the upcoming events of the year.
The Bruce Presbyterial UCW annual gathering will be held on March 24 at the Chesley United Church.
