Erin United Church is hosting a presentation on the issue of human trafficking this Sunday.
The Understanding the Problem of Human Trafficking presentation is being held on March 16 at 3pm at Erin United Church, 115 Main St. A law enforcement officer will help those attending learn about a complex crime which is surprisingly close to home.
This presentation will define what human trafficking is, what factors lead to victimization, why human trafficking in Canada is more prevalent today, and how young females are being targeted in our communities. Those attending will learn about legislation regarding prostitution and the new decision from the Supreme Court of Canada (Regina vs. Bedford).
All are welcome; free admission.
