Church donates 100 pounds of beans to local food bank

The Elora Fergus Unitarian Church has been running a bean program for many years now.

The Unitarian Bean Project has a mandate to collect funds to send Ontario grown beans to the food banks as an excellent and low cost source of protein. The Centre Wellington Food Bank will use its kitchens to make healthy, nutritious and may also be using them in their cooking classes.

The Elora Fergus Unitarian Church is a community founded on a tradition of reason, freedom and religious tolerance – and is congregating at the Victoria Park Seniors Centre in Fergus, Sundays at 10am. For more information visit www.efuuc.org.

The Centre Wellington Food Bank is always looking for more food for their unfortunately rapidly growing client base.
