CHS proudly serving deaf and hard of hearing communities for 75 years

The largest agency of its kind in Canada, the Canadian Hearing Society (CHS) employs more than 450 people to provide a complete roster of essential services. This year marks the organization’s 75th anniversary in serving those who are deaf and hard of hearing. The five core areas where services are provided include:

– Accessibility services which covers ASL/English interpreting services, accessibility consulting, communication devices;

 – Hearing clinics plus which involves hearing help classes;

– Counselling services which involves free counselling and mental health services;

– Education programs which include sign language instruction, educational programs and supports; and

– Employment services which include workplace accessibility, job search, accommodations.

As a multi-service agency, CHS provides a wide range of services to help people who are deaf or hard of hearing with their communication needs.
