Chris White re-elected as warden for 2013-14

Warden Chris White will serve two more years in Wellington County's top political post, after being re-elected by county councillors on Dec. 14.

White, who this year completed his first two-year term in the position, ran against fellow county councillors Don McKay, Gordon Tosh and Shawn Watters for the warden's post for the next two years.

Other county councillors elected to top committee positions for 2013-14 include:

– Wellington North Mayor Ray Tout, Police Services Board chairman;

– Erin Mayor Lou Maieron, chair, Planning and Land Division;

– Mapleton's John Green, chair, Administration, Finance and Personnel;

– Centre Wellington Mayor Joanne Ross-Zuj, chair, Roads;

– Guelph-Eramosa's Tosh, chair, Social Services;

– Puslinch's McKay, chair, Solid Waste Services;

– Minto Mayor George, chair, Economic Development; and

– Minto's Mark Mackenzie, chair, Information, Heritage and Seniors (including the library board).
