Child leans out car window
GUELPH – A Guelph driver is facing three charges after police spotted an unrestrained child in a moving vehicle last week.
Wellington County OPP officials say police stopped a vehicle on Wellington Street West in Guelph on May 26 at about 5:45pm.
“The officer observed a small child passenger standing in the rear seating area and leaning out the driver-side rear window,” police stated in a press release. “Concerned for the child’s safety, a traffic stop was promptly conducted on the subject motor vehicle.”
A 39-year-old from Guelph was charged with driving with a passenger not properly secured, driving without an insurance card and driving without a valid permit.
