Changes to Kinsmen road toll in Mount Forest
Changes to the Mount Forest Kinsmen Road Toll this year meant council had to pass yet another bylaw.
A bylaw is required for toll roads sunder the Safe Streets Act, which allows municipalities to permit organizations to conduct fundraising activities on roads where the maximum speed is 50km/hour.
The Mount Forest Kinsmen Club intends to hold its annual fall road toll on Oct. 9 between 4 and 8pm and on Oct. 10 between 8am and 1pm.
The bylaw allow the event to take place on Main Street South, between Queen Street and Parkside Drive.
Although council had passed a bylaw permitting the event, some specifics had changes - so a new bylaw was needed.
