Chamber acoustics to be improved

Puslinch council has heard resident concerns, and now it intends to do something so council can be heard as well.

At its June 1 council meeting, Mayor Dennis Lever referred to comments he had received about audibility in the chamber.

“We have some issues with acoustics. We are working on a sound system, so councillors will have microphones.

“He asked that members of the gallery maintain the traditions of the council chamber and quiet during the meetings so that everyone can hear. We do know that it is an obstacle, so we want to make sure everyone can hear and know what’s going on.” He also asked of anyone speaking at council to raise their voices while speaking until the new sound system is in place.
