Centre Wellington to spend $624,058 on parking project

Centre Wellington council has approved a bid of $624,058 for the next phase of downtown river lands redevelopment.

At a special June 4 meeting, council approved the bid for the third phase of the Fergus library expansion - parking lot and landscaping improvements.

Council endorsed the recommendation by Wes Snarr, Managing Director of Corporate Servicesapproved the lowest bid, from Capital Paving of Guelph for $624,058 excluding HST and inclusive of contingency allowance of $50,000. The excess of estimated cost over budget is  $73,477.

Capital Paving was the lowest bid at $624,058 while the highest was $105,000 above Capital’s bid.
