Centre Wellington launches new accessible municipal website

There’s a new look in Centre Wellington.

A new website has been launched at centrewellington.ca giving quick and easy access to essential information as part of the township’s ongoing efforts to enhance the quality and availability of information to residents and visitors alike.

The website boasts a modern, colourful design and is divided into five sections: ‘Live Here’, ‘Be Active’, ‘Visit Us’, ‘Do Business’ and ‘Our Government’.

Each section provides detailed and relevant information on the programs and services offered by the township.

In keeping with the Ontario Accessibility Act (AODA), the new website is fully inclusive to all online visitors regardless of their web browsing experience or any physical disabilities they may have.

Online visitors are offered a robust and easily searchable calendar of events, which not only provides information on township activities, but also on the many festivals and events that this community is famous for.

Township meeting agendas and minutes, bylaws, forms, applications and permits as well as road closures and construction updates is just some of the information that residents can easily access through the new website.

Want to register for a township program? That’s easily done through the revamped ProgramAble portal.

With the municipal election just around the corner, the new site will feature candidate and voting information as well as up-to-date election results.

“The old website hadn’t been substantially updated in a number of years and full access to everything this township has to offer wasn’t available. With this new website, we wanted to meet the needs of the resident, the visitor and the investor in our community. This will be a continually evolving tool that will provide an important link to valuable township information,” says Joanne Ross-Zuj, Mayor of Centre Wellington.
