Centre Wellington approves draft 2015 budget

On Feb. 18, Centre Wellington CAO Andy Goldie reported that earlier in the day the township committee of the whole approved the draft 2015 operating budget and revised capital budget, after some very good discussion and debate with council.

The proposed budget includes a 2.51%  ($23.09 – on the average property of $318,330) tax increase and a new 2% ($18.35) dedicated capital tax levy  to begin the journey of replacing 13 bridges over 10 years.

A copy of the full operating and capital budget can be viewed at the following link http://www.centrewellington.ca/ourgovernment/Documents/Draft%20Budget%202015.pdf.

The report on page 6-21 provides an excellent outline of the various changes in the 2015 budget so please take a few minutes to review the report.

The committee of the whole approval will be presented to council on March 2, 2015 at 3pm for final approval.
