The Wellington Catholic District School Board has appointed a new trustee to replace Nan Anderson who died earlier this year.

Rev. Dennis Noon, former chair of the board and pastor of the Church of Our Lady Immaculate parish in downtown Guelph, was appointed as trustee up until the Oct. 27 municipal election.

“We are gratified by the community response to this untimely vacancy. Each candidate expressed their passion for the value of Catholic education to the quality of life in Guelph and Wellington,” said board chair Marino Gazzola.
