Casson may be placed on Rockwod plaques
Guelph-Eramosa Mayor Chris White says the township received approval from the estate of A.J. Casson to use the Group of Seven painter’s work on promotional plaques in Rockwood.
At the request of the township’s heritage committee, White contacted Casson’s estate about Mill Houses and Main Street, Rockwood for art plaques. The plaques will promote the heritage of the area and Casson’s contributions. Council heard there are “tons” of Casson paintings of the area.
