The Town of Minto will have a new CAO/Clerk by spring, if all goes according to schedule.
Minto Council, at the Dec. 15 meeting, authorized municipal coordinator Bill Winegard to advertise the position, both locally and provincially.
Mayor George Bridge said the municipality hopes to have the application process completed by mid-January, and a new CAO in place by March or April. “It’s a bit of a long process, but we wanted to be thorough,” stated Bridge.
“It’s one of the most important decisions we’ll make this year, maybe for the term of council. So we want to make sure we get it right.”
Bridge said council members will be putting in a lot of extra time, interviewing candidates in order to “get the right person.”
