Cannabis, cocaine and speed

GUELPH – On March 25 at about 8:45pm, a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on the Hanlon Expressway North.

Police say the officer observed a blue sedan that appeared to be travelling above the posted speed limit of 80km/h.

Jacob Jairus Roman Jiminez, 21, of Guelph, was charged with racing a motor vehicle  and having cannabis readily available in a vehicle. He is to appear in Guelph court at a later date.

GUELPH – On March 26 at about 9:15pm, a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on the Hanlon Expressway South.

Police say the officer observed a black sedan that appeared to be travelling above the posted speed limit of 80km/h.

Tyler Rhiger, 21, of Guelph, was charged with racing a motor vehicle and possession of cocaine. He is to appear in Guelph court at a later date.

In the above incidents the driver’s licence and the vehicle were seized for seven days.
