ALMA – Santa Claus is set to make his final local parade stop here this weekend.

The Alma Optimist Club’s Santa Claus Parade, traditionally the final parade of the Christmas season in Wellington County, is set for Dec. 19.

The theme for this year’s parade, which will begin winding its way through the village at 2pm, is Candy Cane Christmas.

“Santa and his elves cannot wait to see you all as we make our way through our normal route through Alma,” club officials state.

Anyone interested in entering a float in the Santa Claus parade should email almaoptimist@gmail.com for more details.

All floats should be at the Alma Community Centre by 1pm in order to be lined up for the start.
