Candidates meeting planned in Alma
ALMA – The Alma Optimist Club is hosting a candidates evening for all municipal election candidates for the Township of Mapleton on Oct. 6.
The event begins at 7pm at Alma Community Centre, located at 51 Simpson St. East.
The format will provide each candidate 60 to 90 seconds for both opening and closing statements and the rest of the evening will involve questions which will be pre-screened by the organizing committee.
Questions can be submitted that evening by those in attendance.
Organizers have also invited candidates set up a table in the foyer for pamphlets and election information and as space to meet with the public after the program.
