Candidates failed to file financial information
Two 2014 municipal election candidates from Erin and one English public school trustee candidate in Guelph-Eramosa are now in default with their respective filing municipality.
In Erin, councillor candidates Shawn Wilson and Christopher Naraysingh failed to file financial statements by the 2pm deadline on March 27.
Under the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, Wilson and Naraysingh will not be able to run in the next election.
Brandon Moyer, an English public school trustee candidate in Guelph-Eramosa, also failed to file financial statements by the deadline on March 27.
He too will not be able to run in the next municipal election.
