Dave Rodgers is running for the Green Party because he supports its commitment to political integrity and its vision of a sustainable future for Ontario and Canada.
He is especially dedicated to helping Ontario maintain and extend its leading role in the environmental sciences and in growing the green economy.
As a father, Dave is also concerned that his children and their generation have the opportunity to fully realize their potential.
He has lived in Puslinch township for more than 30 years and looks forward to representing Wellington-Halton Hills in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, if elected.
Dave has more than 30 years of experience as an environmental scientist and consultant. He has worked on a wide range of projects relating to the assessment and mitigation of the effects of utility operations on the environment, particularly the aquatic environment.
Dave has further channelled his knowledge and interest in fish and the aquatic environment by working with the Friends of Mill Creek, a volunteer, community-based organization dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the watershed of Mill Creek, a cold-water stream which flows through Puslinch Township.
He is an active contributor to the township Newsletter, The Puslinch Pioneer, and has also coached local soccer and basketball teams and judged middle and high school science fairs.
Dave joined the Green Party several years ago, but this is his first trial as a candidate.
Dave and his wife, Sarah, have been married for more than 30 years and have three grown children.
