Matthew Murphy has lived in Stratford for most of the last 20 years. Murphy, who lists his occupation as “street performer” notes, “it’s not very rewarding financially, but it is very rewarding philosophically and spiritually.”
Murphy counts the provincial debt among the most important issues in the current election campaign.
“I was stunned when I found out that $291 billion was the debt of the province of Ontario,” he states.
Hydrogen power, he feels, is the solution to both Ontario’s high electricity rates and global climate changes issues.
“Hydrogen technology is the only way to go,” he states.
Murphy believes Ontario has been sharing its wealth with the rest of Canada for decades and feels it’s time the favour was returned.
“For the last 50 years the taxpayers of Ontario have been pumping out money to the federal government and it’s been spread all over the country,” he said.
