Canada Water Week is a celebration of water from coast-to-coast-to-coast, held annually in the third week of March to coincide with World Water Day on March 22.
World Water Day is an annual awareness event to promote global understanding of water issues. The focus in 2014 is to promote sustainable practices in the production of water and energy.
Centre Wellington collects over 1,200 samples annually to ensure clean drinking water.
It operates nine groundwater wells to provide municipal drinking water for approximately 18,000 residents and its operations are inspected annually by the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, who strives for continuous improvement through a quality management system.
