Cambridge resident dead after Labour Day collision in Centre Wellington

CENTRE WELLINGTON – A Cambridge resident is dead following a crash involving a motorcycle and vehicle on Monday.

Wellington County OPP officials say emergency crews were called to the collision, on Wellington Road 19 at Wellington Road 16, between Fergus and Belwood, on Sept. 4 just before 11am.

Police say an SUV and a motorcycle with two riders collided.

"The driver of the motorcycle, a 67-year-old of Cambridge was transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced deceased," police stated in a press release.

"The passenger of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries."
