Bridge barricades moved
MAPLETON – Police are reminding local residents that “moving, tampering with or removing road closure signs, barricades or other traffic-control devices” may lead to charges, following an incident here last week.
Wellington County OPP officials say police “responded to a complaint after barricades marking an unsafe bridge on Sideroad 6 in Mapleton Township, were found disturbed.
“The barricades were quickly restored to their proper position.”
Police say such actions are not only illegal, they “also create a serious safety risk for all road users.”
